Employee Resource Groups

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) is committed to providing opportunities for Finance and Business employees the chance to engage with their colleagues in meaningful ways across the division. One great opportunity is through the Employee Resource Group program.

Employee Resource Groups (ERG) provide a space for colleagues from shared identities the chance to engage in small group conversations with the Director for ODI regarding their experiences at the University and how ODI can be leveraged to further enhance their experience. Additionally, at the behest of the Director, ERGs are utilized to identify areas of growth for Finance and Business that could further help to foster a workplace climate and culture where all employees feel valued, appreciated, respected, and comfortable showing up as their true and authentic selves.

Our current list of ERGs are:

  • Employees who Self-Identify with a Disability
  • Black Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC)
  • Religious and Spiritual Diversity
  • Veterans
  • White Male Allies
  • Women

All are welcome and invited to join an ERG of their choice or to attend an upcoming ERG meeting to learn what it is all about. ERG meetings are held bi-annually and those seeking to participate in an upcoming ERG meeting should reach out to Grace Rohrbach to be added to the mailing list for the next ERG meeting. Additionally, should you be interested in establishing a new ERG, within Finance and Business, please email Dr. Emil L. Cunningham, Director for the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, to set up some time to discuss how to accommodate your request.
